Q. What kind of audio/video file formats can you transcribe?
A: Though we recommend recordings in mp3 format, we accept all audio and video formats including: dss, ds2, mp3, wav, mov, mp4, mp4a (iphone recording), mpeg4, ra, wma, CD, DVD or any other.
Q. How do I send my recordings?
A: The best method is to upload your audio file directly through our web site. Simply login with the credentials given to you and click on the Upload Files link and follow the instructions provided. Alternatively, for a nominal additional cost, our telephone dictation system allows you to record your dictation as well.We prefer not to accept files sent via email for security reasons.
Q. How can I copy audio/ video files from CD/ DVD to PC?
A: Use any professional digitizing service in your local area to digitize your CD/ DVD, or you can download one of the many free or low-cost “ripping” software programs.
Video files can be large, and therefore a low resolution setting is recommended.
Q. How will the transcripts be returned to me?
A: After transcribing your file in MS Word, the transcripts are uploaded onto your account on our secure website. On completion of the job, you will receive a confirmation with the attached transcript by email. Alternately, the transcript can also be downloaded from our site directly. Transcripts can be provided in other formats, like PDF, on request.
Q. What turnaround times do you offer for transcription?
A: We offer a standard TAT of between 24 – 48 hours. We also offer a TAT of 24 hours & STAT TATs of 10-16 hours.
Q. What quality assurance do you provide with your transcription?
A: We have a Quality Assurance team to check each document produced.
We employ only the highest calibreof transcriptionists/ editors locally and internationally and have made a considerable investment in our staff. We employ transcriptionists with minimum 5 years of experience. Successful candidates undergo initial testing followed by an intensive period of training for several months.
Q. Do you sign Confidentiality Agreements with a client?
A: We sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Q. When can I upload work and when does the job start?
A: You can upload recordings from anywhere, at any time, round the clock.
As soon as the files are uploaded we start the job and required terms and instructions are finalised between the company and the client.
Q. How established are you as a company?
A: Spectrascribe is an established Canadian Company having served many clients since 2000.
Q. How do I pay?
A: Electronic Transfer, Credit Card(Visa, MasterCard, Amex), Cheque and PayPal are the accepted payment methods.
